According to Jenn Vinh, “Kari definitely picks the hardest books. Ironically, they are the ones I end up enjoying the most!” “Shantaram” is the story of the author’s escape from prison in Australia and the life he found in India, where he lived for many years before he was recaptured. Although the book was a long 944 pages (and according to Kim Lake, threatened to give her carpal tunnel syndrome) it was a fascinating read.
