Mengali’s has been a positive part of the community for almost half a century. When people send flowers, they do so with good intentions - flowers are meant to express positive emotions, to say, “I love you,” or “thank you” or “I’m thinking of you.” Overwhelmingly, flowers are a source of beauty meant to make people happy, to comfort, to express the best parts of the things people say to each other.

The original Mengali’s was located at 2 Main Street in Woodland and had chandeliers hanging in the flower shop, a symbol of luxury that was visionary at the time. At the Mengali’s on Second Street in Davis, nearly 40 years later, hangs a chandelier artfully rendered. It isn’t the centerpiece of the store, but it pays homage to Mengali’s roots and the principles of luxury, vision and quality which have made the store successful and which guide Mengali’s success in the future.
